You can check all common DNS and email authentication record types: A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA, and SRV records via the DNS Lookup tool. For email specifically, there are dedicated tools for MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. You can also check SSL certificates, run WHOIS lookups, check blacklists, verify DNS propagation, and perform reverse DNS (PTR) lookups.
Are these DNS tools completely free?
Yes, all 12 tools are completely free with no account required. There are no rate limits for normal use, no sign-up forms, and no hidden charges. Every tool returns real-time results directly from DNS resolvers so you always get the most current data.
Why do my results differ from other DNS tools?
Different tools query different DNS resolvers, which may have different cached data depending on when they last refreshed a record. These tools use DNS over HTTPS (DoH) via Google (8.8.8.8), Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), and Quad9 resolvers without caching on our end, so you see the record as it exists at those resolvers right now. During DNS propagation, results will differ between resolvers until all caches expire.
Do these tools cache DNS results?
No. Every lookup you perform fetches a fresh result from the upstream resolver at the time of your request. The underlying DNS resolver may hold a cached copy of the record until its TTL expires, but we do not add any additional caching layer on top of that.
Which DNS resolvers do these tools use?
The tools primarily use Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8) via DNS over HTTPS for single-domain lookups, and additionally query Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Quad9 (9.9.9.9) when showing propagation status across multiple resolvers. These are among the largest and most widely-used public DNS resolvers in the world.
