HostBible: Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how HostBible, Inc. ("HostBible", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit our websites, create an account, or use our hosting, server, domain, or related services (the "Services"). It also describes your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
Controller vs. Processor
When we provide hosting and related Services to you as a customer, we are a data controller for your account/billing/operations data. For personal data that you collect from your end-users and host with us, you are the controller and we act as your processor. Our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) governs that processing.

2) What we collect
- Account & Billing: identifiers, company, role, authentication data, payment method tokens, billing/shipping addresses, support correspondence.
- Service Operations: configuration and usage data, domains, IPs, logs, diagnostics, security telemetry, domain registration data.
- Device & Analytics: IP, browser, OS, referrer, pages viewed, location (city/region), cookies, SDKs, pixels.
- Communications & Marketing Preferences: email subscriptions and in-product message preferences.
- Sensitive Data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive data; payment cards are processed by third parties.
3) Sources of information
Provided directly by you, collected automatically through our Services (cookies, logs, analytics), or from third parties like payment processors, domain registrars, fraud-prevention and identity services.

5) Cookies & tracking
We use cookies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and marketing (with consent where required). Non-essential cookies in the EEA/UK/Switzerland are only used with your consent via our cookie banner.
6) Communications & marketing
We send transactional emails (service, security, billing) and, with your permission or where lawful, marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing at any time without affecting transactional emails.
7) Sharing your information
- Service providers (data centers, hosting, DDoS/CDN, email, identity/fraud, analytics, support tools)
- Payment processors (tokens only, no full card data stored)
- Domain registrars/registries
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law
- During corporate transactions (M&A, financing, sale)
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8) International data transfers
We are U.S.-based and use global providers. Transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland rely on SCCs, the UK Addendum, and adequacy decisions. Core infrastructure is on Microsoft Azure.
9) Retention
We retain personal data as long as needed for Services, legal obligations, disputes, and agreements. Examples: account/invoice records (6 years), security logs (90–365 days), support tickets (3 years).
10) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (encryption, hardened configs, access controls, network monitoring, vulnerability management). You are responsible for securing your credentials.
11) Your rights
Depending on location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/object, port, or withdraw consent. Contact privacy@hostbible.com to exercise your rights.
12) U.S. state privacy disclosures
We collect identifiers, commercial info, Internet activity, coarse geolocation, and minimal inferences. We do not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising. You may request access, delete, correct, portability, or opt-out at privacy@hostbible.com.
13) Children’s privacy
Our Services are intended for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact us to request deletion if a child’s data was provided.
14) Third-party links & services
Our websites may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.
15) Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice from time to time. The “Effective” date above shows the current version. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product messages.
