HostBible: Web Hosting Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between HostBible, Inc. ("HostBible," "we," "us," or "our") and the person or entity that orders or uses our hosting, server, and domain-related services ("Customer," "you"). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Definitions
- Services: Our shared and dedicated hosting, virtual/private servers, domain registration and transfer services, related software, support, and any other services described in an order, invoice, or your control panel.
- AUP: Our Acceptable Use Policy set forth in Section 7.
- Order: Any online or written order form, signup flow, or invoice describing the Services you purchase.
2) Services
We will provide the Services described in your Order and make commercially reasonable efforts to keep them available and secure. Certain Services may be provided by or rely on third-party providers (e.g., data centers, registrars, upstream networks).
3) Accounts & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the confidentiality of your credentials, and all activity under your account. You must promptly update any changes to your contact or billing details.
4) Fees, Billing & Taxes
- Fees are due in advance of the Service term shown in your Order.
- Service terms renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the term.
- Late or failed payments may result in suspension or limitation of Services.
- We may change prices prospectively with 30 days' notice.
- All fees are non-refundable unless required by law or stated in your Order.
- Fees exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for paying.
5) Term, Auto-Renewal & Cancellation
The Term begins on your Order date and continues through each renewal until terminated. You may cancel any time via the control panel or by written notice to Support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term and does not entitle you to a refund unless your Order says otherwise.
6) Suspension & Termination by HostBible
We may suspend or terminate Services if: (a) you fail to pay; (b) you violate the AUP or law; (c) your use poses security risk or disruption; or (d) we are required by law. Reinstatement may require payment and a reinstatement fee.
7) Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Prohibited uses include: illegal content, child exploitation, IP infringement, security violations, spam/abuse, resource abuse on shared hosting, or hate/extremist content. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details. We may suspend or terminate Services for AUP violations.
8) Resource Usage
We may set or enforce reasonable limits on disk, CPU, bandwidth, or similar metrics to protect service quality. If you exceed your plan’s limits, we may request remediation, offer an upgrade, or apply overage charges.
9) Email & Anti-Spam
Use of our mail services must follow industry best practices (confirmed opt-in, unsubscribe, valid contact info). Spam or abuse complaints may result in suspension until resolved.
10) Content, IP & DMCA
You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, cache, and display it to provide Services. DMCA notices must be sent to dmca@hostbible.com.
11) Privacy, Security & Backups
- Privacy: Our data use is described in our Privacy Notice.
- Security: You must secure your applications (updates, strong passwords, MFA).
- Backups: Unless purchased as a service, backups are not guaranteed and are your responsibility.
12) Support Scope
We provide support for our control panel, network, and base OS. Third-party script/CMS help is a courtesy and not guaranteed.
13) Domain Names
Registration/renewal/transfer requests are submitted to registrars and not guaranteed until confirmed. Domain fees are non-refundable once submitted. You must maintain accurate WHOIS/contact info.
14–22) Other Legal Terms
- We may modify Services to improve reliability, security, or performance.
- Services are provided “as is” with no warranties.
- Our liability is limited to 3 months’ fees; no indirect damages.
- You agree to indemnify us against claims from your content or use.

Appendix A: Examples of Prohibited Use
- Child sexual abuse material or content that exploits minors
- Malware, botnets, phishing, or stolen content
- Unlicensed copyrighted works, warez, cracked software
- Open proxies or anonymization relays used for abuse
- On shared hosting: crypto-mining, daemons, IRC servers, file sharing scripts, public mirrors, or off-site backups
